Famous actor and Zenit’s No.1 fan Mikhail Boyarsky has violated the Russian football authorities’ sanctions, somehow making it into the stadium for his team’s game against CSKA Moscow, which was to be played without spectators.

Zenit were punished with a technical defeat, a huge fine and two home games in front of empty stands after their fans injured Dynamo keeper Anton Shunin with a flare during a Moscow match on November 17.

The appearance of Boyarsky, who never misses Zenit’s home encounters, at the Petrovsky Arena may lead to further sanctions against the club.

According to the Russian Football Union’s regulations, the penalty for the St. Petersburg side may now be toughened, facing up to four home games at an empty stadium.

“I came to the game as Boyarsky. I have some privileges,” the actor told Fontanka.ru.

But later, the 62-year-old explained that, being a member of the Public Council under the Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, he was in the stands to monitor how police were executing their duties.

Meanwhile, CSKA Moscow say they won’t file an appeal over Boyarsky’s presence in the stadium. 

“We won’t perform anything. We never had such thoughts,” Roman Babaev, CSKA general director, told R-Sport.

During his career, Boyarsky has appeared in more than 70 movies and is most famous for his role of d'Artagnan in ‘d'Artagnan and Three Musketeers’ (1978).
